ST ALBANS HALF MARATHON
2020 Event Cancelled
It is with deep regret that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we must announce the cancellation of the 2020 St Albans Half Marathon.
This has been an incredibly difficult decision for our trustees to make, but in the current climate we feel this is the most socially responsible solution we could come to.
The St Albans Half Marathon is proud to be a charity and we have always donated our profits to charities and organisations in the local area. In order to be able to continue supporting local charities and organisations, we must make sure that we can continue to operate and raise money into 2021 and beyond.
Unfortunately, cancelling this year’s event at this stage is the only option that will allow us to do this.
We thank you for your support and understanding and we hope you will continue to support us next year to make 2021 our biggest year yet.
For all those that have entered, we will be sending out an email in the coming days to explain the situation further and give you some options on what to do next.
Most importantly we hope that yourselves, your family and friends stay safe and healthy.
St Albans Half Marathon Race Director
A community focused event, St Albans Half Marathon aims to raise money for local charities and organisations as well as put on a great day out for all the family.
Those looking for a challenge can take on the scenic Half Marathon or Walking Half, which takes you on a challenging but rewarding route through the country lanes of St Albans.
Our 5K is open to everyone over 11 and takes you on a route around Verulamium Park. You’ll still experience the great atmosphere we are famous for and help to support local charities and organisations!
And why not get the kids started early with our 1.5mile Fun Run? The whole family can enter this event, getting everyone fit and active for the start of summer.
