We've missed you!

After what has been a very difficult year for everyone we are thrilled to be back launching the St Albans Half Marathon in 2021.

We'd just like to let you know that this years event won't be quite the same due to Covid 19. Unfortunately the VIP area, Runners Village, Fun Run and Stage will all be removed for this years event. In essence we are looking to put on a Covid secure race day, rather than a community event. Fingers crossed this is just a one off and 2022 (our 40th year) will be bigger than ever.

We have also made the decision to not give out a finisher t shirt at this years event. In an effort to reduce our environmental impact we have looked into a scheme to plant a tree in a sustainable forest in the UK. Therefore for every £100 we receive in entry fees we will be paying to plant a tree in the UK. We'll let you know how many we manage to plant after the event.

A community focused event, St Albans Half Marathon aims to raise money for local charities and organisations as well as put on a great day out for all the family.

Those looking for a challenge can take on the scenic Half Marathon or Walking Half, which takes you on a challenging but rewarding route through the country lanes of St Albans.

Our 5K is open to everyone over 11 and takes you on a route around Verulamium Park.  You’ll still experience the great atmosphere we are famous for and help to support local charities and organisations!

Unfortunately there will be no Fun Run this year :(

But we'll be back with that in 2022 and we can't wait!

"It's already really good! Definitely coming back every year!
